We teach General English, Intensive English, IELTS Preparation, Business English, Online Classes, One-to-One Classes and ESOL at our school in Leeds city centre, plus Summer Courses and five-day Executive Short Programmes for organisations. All our accredited courses are listed on the Courses page.
Most students book between 4 and 12 weeks, but courses are flexible: you can study from one week to 24 weeks or more, and longer bookings cost less per week. Every course starts on a Monday.
General English, Intensive English, Online and One-to-One classes accept complete beginners to advanced learners (A1–C1). IELTS Preparation suits intermediate level and above, and Business English suits pre-intermediate and above. Not sure of your level? Take our free placement test before you start.
Our minimum age is 16. Students aged 16–19 can join our ESOL programme, where teaching is tailored to younger learners.
A maximum of 10, so your teacher knows your name, your goals and your mistakes by the end of the first week.
Yes — it's free and online. Contact us and we'll arrange it, usually within a day or two.
General English starts from £220 per week and Intensive English from £300 per week for longer bookings; online classes start from £120 per week. Full price tables for every course are on our price list and on each course page. A £100 registration fee applies to all bookings, and UK VAT is included where applicable.

It depends on your nationality and how long you'll study. Many students take short courses on a Standard Visitor visa; courses over six months usually need a student visa. Check the official guidance on gov.uk, and once you enrol our team will provide the documents you need for your application. Applying for the correct visa is the student's responsibility.
That depends on your visa type, not on the college. Check your visa conditions on gov.uk or ask our team and we'll point you to the right official guidance.
Yorkshire College arranges accommodation through trusted partner providers — homestay, student accommodation and studio flats — booked together with your course. Homestay with a British family costs £300 per week including breakfast and dinner; ensuite rooms with a shared kitchen cost £210 per week; private studio flats cost £280 per week. The student accommodation and studios are about a 10-minute walk from the college. See the Accommodation page for photos and details.
No — accommodation is arranged for enrolled students, together with a course booking.

Arrive at 9:00am with your passport (and visa if applicable). You'll complete a short placement test, meet your teachers on an induction tour, and join your class at the right level — usually the same day.
